Sprial Wound Gasket
Sprial Wound Gasket (SPW)
The Spiral Wound Gasket come in a number of different styles which offer outstanding sealing capabilities with in flanges. SPW is in accordance with gasket standard to suit the flange destinations. The ASME B16.20 gaskets were designed for use ni ASME B16.50 flange or ASME 16.47

TYPE OF SPIRAL WOUND GASKETS

SPW with Outer and Inner ring
(SPW OR+IR)

Consisting of sealing element and solid outer ring (Centering ring) and inner ring, both giving additional rigidity ot the gasket sealing element, proventing buckling and blowout as wel as a pressure limit ot avoid over compresion on application.
SPW with Outer ring
(SPW with OR)

Consisting of sealing element and solid outer ring (Centering ring) which provide a radial support ot prevent blowout as wel as a pressure stop to avoid over compression of the gaskets.

SPW with Inner ring
(SPW with IR)

Consist of sealing element and sollid metal inner ring. The solid ring provides an inner radial support ot prevent buckling as wel as limit ot avoid over compression of the gasket.
SPW winding only
(Winding Only)

Produced from a formed Spiral wound metallic strip, with a layer of filer material without outer ring and inner ring. (known as the winding)
